## Hello, good luck with this CIA test thing. Don't stress.

You will find here

• a table of who has been assigned which sample page to modify.
• Links to each of the sample pages.
• Groups for zoom sharing (if we can't all simultaneously screenshare)
• Links to the Wireframe set (PDFs)
• Instructions on how to do each assignment.

### Part 1 of the test

• Create your own folder in /var/www/html/febtest (once you create it, only you have permissions to edit it)

• Copy the whole folder of your assigned sample page (see above) ( you can use the terminal with cp -R <source> <destination> or you can use Cyberduck) to a folder within the above folder.

• Make the edits as directed by your page. Look for instructions on the page. All pages will contain these needs:

• A change in order of content for different screen sizes
• A change in the sizes of grid elements for different screen sizes
• A simple but large section or page-wide change
• A few changes in style that require modifying css.
• Once you've made all the required changes, fill in this form with the link to your completed page, submit it.

### Part 2 of the test

(They are up now.).

• Use your content and build a single page that implements the wireframe.

• You can add elements and sections and anything you want, and style your page in anyway you think looks best. You can copy styles from other sources on the web, there are no restrictions on this except the one (below).
• Your page must incorporate all the elements from the wireframe as prescribed, additions are fine, subtractions are not.

### Regarding questions

• Google EVERYTHING! Learn as you go. But don't waste time, be efficient.
• If you have doubts about the process, read these instructions and make sure you understand them clearly, ask any doubts you have about the instructions before you begin.
• You can ask me questions about your work during the test, but make sure your question cannot be solved by reading first. I don't like hard rules, but I will cap the number of questions each person can ask at 4 total so that you are forced to be judicious in your asking of questions you can solve yourselves.

### Regarding time

• I will be available from the start of the test to 4.30 pm
• Your final submissions (using the form) must be made before 7.30 pm today
• Edit access to these files on the server will be closed at 8 pm.
• Once you make your submission in the form, try not to edit your files on the server again, if you feel tempted just know that I can see :)

### Essay Submission

• Submit your essays before midnight on Thursday 25th Feb.
• Submit your essay by uploading it to the server as a docx only make sure you name it correctly.

• Name your file <firstname-all-small>-WebDevCIAEssay.docx for e.g. avinash-WebDevCIAEssay.docx

• Upload it to /var/www/html/febtest/essaysubs 

• You cannot see each others' submissions (or even your own), it's a blind dropbox
• Submissions will be timestamped by the server.

• Name your files properly, carelessness will lose marks.
• Grammar and writing count in the grading.
